10,5 %. El rasgo distintivo de estas aleaciones es su resistencia a la
corrosión, debido a la propiedad de estos aceros de pasivizarse formando
una película de óxido fina pero resistente que protege el material

Iron based alloys with Chromim higher than 10.5% and Carbon max. 0.15% without critical transformation points, which therefore cannot be stiffened by quench hardening but only through cold working ( cold drawing ).

Iron based alloys with a Chromium content between 17% and 26% and Nickel between 7% and 35 % and Carbonium 0.15% max which cannot be stiffened by quench hardening but only through cold working ( cold drawing ). Corrosion resistance ( higher if compared to other stainless steels ) and diamagnetism are their main characteristics |
Duplex
Iron based alloys with Cr content higher than 16% combined with Ni( 4-6%) and Mo (1.5-3%). They match the best mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steel with a superior resitance to stress corrosion and pitting |
